ALSO FOR SALE Fred Bear Campfire Stories Audio CD If you have ever wished you could have sat around the campfire with Fred Bear, here is your chance. This recording was made at a Saskatchewan Bear Hunting Camp, sitting outside at the fire. It was May 1976 and Fred Bear was on this hunt with friends and employees. One of his sales reps who was with him decided to record him doing what he did best: telling his favorite stories. Considering this was done almost 30 years ago, the audio quality of this CD is great. You can hear the wildlife in the background, a small plane go overhead, the sound of the group taking pictures and best of all Fred Bear with his own style reciting his favorites. This recording sat all these years just gathering dust and then late in 2003 was produced as this audio CD. For something like this to come out of the woodwork after Fred Bear being gone for so many years is truly incredible. For the Fred Bear or Bear Archery fan, this is truly a great opportunity to listen in with a legend. |

As a Fred Bear and Bear Archery collector myself, I am lucky to live here in Grayling, Michigan. I can say I was thrilled to first learn of this CD, and having collected most any type of memorobilia that there is I am proud to do my part in promoting this piece of archery history. People come through Grayling to this day still looking for the Fred Bear Museum, but just never knew that it had moved on to Gainesville, and now on to Bass Pro's Sringfield, MO store. The old Grayling Museum building is still here, and parts of the old factory are still standing, so I put together one of the largest Bear Archery collections to show to people when they come to the Grayling area.
